Industrial robotics software and AI company that spun out of Alphabet's X moonshot factory in July 2021 and was folded directly into Google on 25 February 2026. Builds Intrinsic Flowstate — a web-based developer environment for designing and deploying production-grade robotics automation — alongside Intrinsic OS (a Linux-based robotics operating system), a capabilities library spanning perception, motion planning, and sensor-based control, and the Intrinsic Vision Model released in late 2025. Led by CEO Wendy Tan White. Acquired Vicarious's AI robotics team and the commercial arm of Open Robotics (OSRC) in 2022, then laid off approximately 20% of staff in January 2023. Announced a joint venture with Foxconn in late 2025 to build general-purpose intelligent robots for electronics manufacturing, with the stated goal of full factory automation. Positions itself as the "Android of robotics" — an OS and platform layer on which manufacturers and developers build their own robotic applications. Approximately 230 employees across offices in Mountain View, Denver, and Chicago.
