Twelve Labs

Twelve Labs is a video-native multimodal AI company building foundation models that help machines see, hear, and understand video the way humans do. Its proprietary models — Marengo (multimodal video embeddings for semantic search) and Pegasus (video-to-text generation for Q&A, summarisation, and captions) — are accessible via API and used by enterprises in media, sports, and entertainment to search, analyse, and extract insights from large video libraries. In July 2026 Twelve Labs raised a $100M Series B co-led by NEA and NAVER Ventures, with Amazon — which invested directly and named AWS its preferred cloud partner — alongside NVIDIA, Radical Ventures, Index Ventures, and Korea Investment Partners, bringing total funding above $200M.
