Vapi

San Francisco, CAFounded 202351-200Series BUpdated 17h ago

API-first platform for building, testing, and deploying voice AI agents. Vapi handles the underlying telephony, latency optimization, and orchestration so engineering teams can take a voice agent from prototype to production in days; it is model-agnostic, routing across 200+ model integrations with multi-agent orchestration, MCP tool calling, and 100+ languages at sub-500ms latency. Typical deployments include inbound support, outbound sales and collections, candidate screening, and IVR navigation, with the strongest traction in financial services, healthcare, insurance, and automotive. The company reports more than 1 million developers, 2.7 million agents created, and over 1 billion calls handled to date. Vapi grew out of a latency-optimized voice prototype built in mid-2023 by co-founder Jordan Dearsley (CEO) and launched publicly on Product Hunt in March 2024; Dearsley and co-founder Nikhil Gupta met at the University of Waterloo. Named customers include Amazon Ring, Intuit, New York Life, ServiceTitan, Kavak, and Instawork. Vapi raised a $50 million Series B in May 2026 led by Peak XV, with M12 (Microsoft's Venture Fund), Kleiner Perkins, and Bessemer Venture Partners participating, bringing total funding to $72 million.
