About the role

About Mecka AI

Mecka AI is building the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI.

We design, manufacture, and deploy camera systems, sensors, and data capture hardware that operate in real-world environments and power next-generation robotics and AI models. Our hardware is deployed globally, and execution across manufacturing, logistics, and deployment is critical to our success.

Our Mission

Robotics will become the largest industry in human history — larger than anything that has come before it. As intelligent machines move into the physical world, they will dramatically expand global GDP, raise the material standard of living for everyone, and ultimately help make humanity a multiplanetary civilization. None of that happens without one thing: enormous amounts of high-quality, real-world data.

Mecka AI builds that foundation. We are the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI — the substrate that teaches machines to perceive, reason, and act in reality. Get this right, and we accelerate the most important technological transition of our time.

Our Culture

  • Excellence as the baseline. We hold an extremely high bar and expect the best work of your career. Mediocrity isn't interesting to us.

  • Highly technical. We reason from first principles, not by analogy. The best argument wins — regardless of title or tenure.

  • Truth-seeking. We are relentlessly honest with ourselves and each other. We chase reality — measured, not assumed — and kill our own bad ideas fast.

  • Maniacal urgency. The work matters and the clock is real. We move fast, ship, measure, and iterate.

  • Extreme ownership. You own outcomes end-to-end — no hand-offs, no excuses, no waiting for permission.

  • Hardcore. This is a high-intensity environment for people who want to do the defining work of their lives.

The Role

We’re hiring an Operations Manager based in Shenzhen, China to own hardware operations, logistics, supplier relationships, and global deployments.

This is a hands-on operator role for someone who has worked close to hardware production and understands how things actually get built, shipped, and deployed. You will sit between our hardware engineering team, suppliers, and global partners to ensure hardware moves smoothly from factory → warehouse → deployment.

This role is execution-heavy and requires strong judgment, ownership, and follow-through.

What You’ll Work On

Hardware Production & Supply Chain

  • Support production and rollout of cameras, sensors, and data capture equipment

  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers in China

  • Track production timelines, BOM changes, and build readiness

  • Identify risks and bottlenecks early and resolve them quickly

Global Logistics & Shipping

  • Own end-to-end logistics for shipping hardware to partner countries worldwide

  • Coordinate international shipping, customs, and import/export requirements

  • Optimize shipping timelines and costs across regions

  • Ensure hardware arrives on time and ready for deployment

Supplier Management & Negotiation

  • Manage relationships with hardware suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors

  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and service agreements

  • Source new suppliers as needed to support scaling and redundancy

  • Maintain clear documentation and agreements with partners

Deployment & Cross-Team Coordination

  • Coordinate hardware readiness for deployments with field and ops teams

  • Communicate closely with the hardware engineering team on:

    • Build status

    • Design changes

    • Production issues

  • Support deployment logistics and on-the-ground execution when needed

Process & Operational Excellence

  • Build and improve operational processes for:

    • Hardware tracking

    • Inventory management

    • Shipping workflows

  • Maintain clear documentation and reporting for leadership

  • Continuously improve speed, reliability, and cost efficiency
